English translation of the Korean original. If they differ, the Korean article is authoritative. A model can’t know your habits, like how you write commit messages or dates. I gave Claude 33 tasks like that. Without Off the Wall, Claude (Sonnet) followed the habit 2 times. With it, 20 times. It works because your own earlier correction is shown again, word for word. These are test habits I made up, not real users’ records. With the haiku model it went from 1 to 17, and from 2 to 25 when I measu…

English version of the Korean original. If they differ, the Korean article is authoritative. I built Off the Wall, a plugin for Claude Code and Codex. It saves the corrections you give your agent and shows them again, word for word, when you ask for something similar later. This post is about what did not work, because that is where I learned the most. What I can say it does A model can’t know how you write commit messages or dates. I made up 11 habits like that and turned them into tasks, 3 ru…

In plain words. This article is about an older test that replayed 39 real requests as text. It compared showing a developer’s own past corrections with short rules, and it is not proof that the plugin works in real use. A later test is easier to read: with made-up personal habits, Claude (Sonnet) followed the habit 2 times out of 33 without Off the Wall and 20 times with it. See the plain-language article. Updated 2026-10-28: the later measurement on personal preferences (followed 1/33 with no …

Scope note, 2026-10-23: the figures below are historical API-price estimates from a separate local setup, not an invoice or a measured saving from public Off the Wall. This post does not test OTW correction recall. I run coding agents all day, so I added up a week of my own API usage: 19,733 Claude calls, about $1,064 at API prices. The biggest line was not output and not cache reads. It was cache writes: $469, 44% of the bill. A cache write is what you pay the first time a prefix is seen. In a…

In plain words. Off the Wall is a plugin that shows your own earlier corrections again, unshortened, before the agent answers. I gave Claude 33 tasks about habits a model can’t know: without the plugin it followed the habit 2 times, with it 20 times (Claude Sonnet, test habits I made up). What it does and does not do is in the plain-language article. This article is the longer measurement log that came before it. Updated 2026-10-29. The same effect showed up with a larger model (Sonnet), and , …
